I'm sorry, but these questions r really hard!
I read the book summer 2006 and i faintly remember the bk.

I think leper was sick from being in the war, but not a gunshot or something of that kind. He wantd 2 go 2 war, but once he got there he didnt like it at all, so he secretly went back home.
