8.2 oz for $2.99 means that you get 1 oz for $0.36
6.4 oz for $2.49 means that you get 1 oz for $0.39
Therefore 8.2 is the better deal..

$2.99 divided by 8.2 =.3646 cents per oz
$2.49 divided by 6.4=.3890 cents per oz
Take the $2.99 tube
you get almost 2 extra ounces for .50 cents or .25 cent per extra ounce
