Judging from some of the answers here, I'd say one of two things is happening.

1. Republicans have no idea what a neo con is (as evidence by the assertion that they are "Jewish people switching to the Republican party)." And so don't realize the blunders they are committing which is leading to the tarnishing of all Republicans.

2. The country has become so polarized that Republicans are willing to welcome anyone who has remotely similar ideals into the fold. Not realizing of course that neo cons and Republicans have some similarities, but on the most important issues facing the nation and the more specifically the prioritization of those issues, there is a definite difference.

Republicans in name only are RINO's not neo-cons. "Neo cons" is a slur that liberals and mass media use to describe Jewish individuals who are switching to the Republican party after recognizing that Democrats are quick to throw Israel under the bus when times get tough.

This said, neo-cons aren't destroying the party and are welcomed with open arms. But, RINO's are a different story. Just look at the last election. Follow the money, RINOs are being penalized and things will come back to balance soon enough.

Neoconservatism is a logical effect of what Republicans have constantly stood for because of the fact the 2d international conflict with as absolute backside component the Reagan social bloodbath and foreign places coverage hypocrisy. Later got here Newt with the classic tax scheme reinvented. The Necons are no longer something new and that i do no longer think u.s. desires "real" conservatives. u.s. desires a push to the left. by ability of underfunding considered necessary government centers to the fringe of cave in they teach government is inefficient and the loose industry is often greater powerful. they do no longer fund right and then use the inevitable unfavourable provider as a reason to fund it even much less or maybe abolish it. the only concern the yank top is powerful at is PR because of the fact the above occasion of perverse potential politics isn't recognised as such by ability of maximum individuals yet welcomed because of the fact the hollow low taxes rhetoric. data are Republicans are for vast funds and don't care approximately undemanding individuals whether or no longer they are Democrats or Republicans

Because the neo-cons used Tom "The Hammer" Delay and their K-Street manipulation of PAC money to lean on any Republican who didn't go along with them.

The Religious Right is a flare up... given their disloyalty to the Republican party in the 2006 elections, I predict they'll lose their importance in the next decade. Unless Sam Brownback is nominated *shudders*
