I know the feelings that you are going through. i am a young mother myself. the only thing they can do is sue for grandparents rights. this gives them visitation and that is it. They also have to prove that they are the preternal grandparents. You are the mother of this baby and you have your own rights. The only way they could get the baby from you is if you neglect the child and social services has to step in. this only happens in rare cases but once again you have rights yourself and can say you don't want baby near the grandparents for a specific reason. I will warn you now it has to be a good reason or the judge will laugh at you. If you need anymore help e-mail me at lightningcurtis@yahoo.ca

A court usually doesn't take a baby from the mother unless someone could prove the mother unfit to raise the baby. I don't think that they would be able to sue you for rights of the baby although they may be able to get some visitation rights. My advise would be to keep track of everything that they do for the baby. My sister went through this with her little girl and the grandparents only get her everyother weekend for 3 hours. The courts took into consideration the fact that for the first 10 months, my niece's grandparents and father had done nothing for her. If you haven't already I would start writing down everything that they do for her, so if you do end up in court you have the proof of what they did before.

Are you living with your parents or a guardian. The father can take you to court to prove he is the father through a DNA test then his parents can sue you for grandparent rights which means you will have to let them see your daughter. The father will also have a right to see her. On the other hand the father will have to help provide for her with child support. They will have to prove that you are a unfit parent to take your daughter away from you. So, you make the best life that you can for you and your daughter.
I really do hope you have the support of family to help you. Best of luck

they could ask for grandparents rights whichis just like unsuppervisd visitation, even then they would have to prove their son is the father.
really the only thing they or anyone can do is get you investigated by DHS and if you are living a clean life and the baby is in good hands no one can do anything. im a mommy too. im 17 almost 18 now but i have 2 kids a 19 mo. old and a 4 day old daughter with the same daddy and their grandparents sued for grandparents rights b/c they didnt ever get to see them and tried to get us investigated but dhs couldnt find anything wrong with the circumstances and dropped everything. but were still a happy little family.. but good luck girl.

The answer is no. . . unless you have been abusive in some manner to the child. The boy's parents cannot sue you ever for custody unless a LOT of things change. The boy would have to be proven by DNA to be the father and a court would have to order child support. Only then might they be in line for things like grandparent visitation but NOT custody.

Not unless you are an unfit parent. Sometimes grandparents will try to sue for custody, citing "grandparent rights" but they are often unsuccessful. Do you think they might try to sue you for custody? Or do they just want to see the baby? If you can see it in your heart to do so, then take your baby over to visit them, just don't leave the baby there though, stay for the visit. Grandparents usually want to be a part of a grandbaby's life, and it's not their fault if the father doesn't want anything to do with the baby. Good Luck.

No his parents cant sue you for rights to your daughter. Its your daughter not theres. The only thing that can happen is that the son gets rights to, but even if that they cant take her away from you. Unless they see you as a unfit mother. Also if anything they can get rights to visit with your daughter once a week or something like that, but they cant take your daughter away from you.

I don't quite understand the question, but will try to answer.
Unless they can show you're an unfit parent, they cannot sue you for full custody of the child. However, they can be awarded visitation rights, based on the fact they are the child's natural grandparents.

Good luck. I was 16 when i got pregnant and im 18 now. My ex's mom has temp. custody of my little girl but i did name him father. But to answer your question most likely no. Unless they can find something on you to make you look bad. if you believe in God or prayer pray pray pray. Also call a lawyer and ask him for legal advice but dont tell them you dont plan on hiring them. Really and truley good luck. Take good care of that baby cause if you lose it you will have to fight like h*** to get it back.

Grandparents have no rights over their grandkids, ask any lawyer but the father can sue you to see the child and most likely they will be seeing the little girl also.
If you are so worried then sign your child over to your parents.
