My motherboard usb connectors went out. Since then I have bought a PCI card so I could have usbs on the outside of the computer, however, I still have equipment that needs to be connected directly to the motherboard. Are there PCI cards that I can connect this type of equipment to or some other option. Preferably, I need to connect a card reader and 2 sets of usb ports. Each one of the devices connects to the 9 pin usb port.

Yes, there are. Just show up at your local Fry's, Circuit City, or Best Buy and tell them that you want some internal USB ports. If it doesn't work, then just Google them and buy them from www.newegg.com for example.

Typically most cases these days have USB ports to utilize these connectors. If not then most any computer store should have the needed connectors that will fill a slot on the back of the computer. However you can't get that done. for about $30 you can purchase a PCI card that will have USB connectors on it. Normally they have four of them and these days they will be USB 2.0

Good luck
