Should wave the white flag and resign? With President Bush bringing all resources together to secure Iraq why are the Democrats calling for his resignation?

Because their greatest fear is that Bush will succeed. Success by a Republican, particularly George W Bush is their worst nightmare.

"bringing all resources together"? Come on now, with an Armed Forces of nearly 1.4 million personnel, how can 140,000 now in Iraq and scheduled to be bolstered by an additional 22,500 be considered as bringing all resources together? Another case of too little, too late. Another thing, you'll not find a Democrat alive that's going to agree with you Bush is the greatest president in the history of the US. That's just more BS. Not even Republicans can all agree on that.

Because he should not have ever gone into Iraq in the first place. He lied about WMDs. He has done nothing but spent MY and EVERY OTHER American's tax dollars on destroying a country and poorly rebuilding it. Now he is going to take ALL the rest of our military resources to go into a country whose citizens are the only military they have. They didn't want us there, they didn't need us there, and we didn't need to be there.

I don't believe he should resign though, this was a tough presidency.

He is probably the least intelligent president we have ever elected, he had to deal with 9/11 (which he did fine with Afghanistan) but screwed up with Iraq. We now have fewer resources to defend our own country because we have so many troops abroad. We have too many problems here to worry about other countries. Iran is a much bigger threat than Iraq was and N. Korea is just as bad. He uses the military like it is a toy or something.

There have been a half million people killed because of this war. And he kept saying that we were winning and we were going to stay the course when we were not doing well at all. It was ridiculous and illogical.

Democrats are same as Republicans because of the fact the two events look after the activity human beings. Democrats agreed with Bush interior the 1st place.to attack Iraq to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Now democrats found out that the flexibility of conflict isn't in choose human beings and on the top there will be a shameful defeat for marines of their undertaking. Democrats hostile Bush for 2 motives - one to maintain their political place interior of US u . s . a . and yet another one to rescue US military from further harm purely before appropriately withdrawal from Iraq and Afghan.

I am a democrat and I would love for the president to succeed... I don't want him to fail... most Americans don't want him to fail, that would be bad for all of us. But do most Americans think his plan will succeed? No they don't in staggerring numbers. His latest approval rating is somewhere in the low 30's.

Remember this administration told us there were WMD (WRONG), that we will be welcomed as liberators (WRONG), that the Mission is Accomplished (WRONG), that the war will only cost 3 billion (WRONG), that Iraq's oil will pay for reconstruction (WRONG). So their credibility is shot.

I want him to succeed, but I have little faith.

Oh and my vote for the greatest American president was a Republican ... Abraham Lincoln (saved the nation at it's most vulnerable point to date).

First of all, you need to be educated on facts before you present them in a question such as this one. "bringing all resources together to secure Iraq"..I hate to disagree with you but that statement is far from fact.

Secondly, "greatest President in the History of the United States", you know, I generally respect opinion, but are you seriously talking about George W. Bush right now? And if so, what drugs are you taking?

Pick up a book..and educate yourself on all of the current issues we face today, thanks to that man.

The democrats are afraid of victory in Iraq. That would make GWB right, after all and it would make them look like the amateurs they eally are. The only thing that would be disaster for the democrats, besides them looking stupid and ineffective, is American victory in Iraq. How friggin sad is that!

I don't know what you are smoking but you should give President Bush some...it might help him come to terms with his 32% approval rating and his place in history as the most inept person to ever hold the office of the presidency

I love Bush's open border policy as well, don't you. Bush is the champion of illegal immigration.
