If he has an ace up his sleeve his timing is poor. You would have thought he would have played it before the mid-terms, so he wouldn't have had to contend with a democratic-controlled House and Senate.
BTW - name-calling is not limited to the Democrats. It's about the only true bi-partisan thing in DC.

Maybe because he knows that no matter what he does, Iraq will be a total mess. This way he can say "I had a plan, but they voted it down, now look at the mess"
