Those on Income Support, Incapacity benefits, ASBO Kings & Queens, young single mothers in council houses, asylum seekers, preechers of hate, all the jobsworths that Labour have created worthless jobs for and Blair, his cronies, Cherie's cronies and colleagues and the entire cabinet and their families.

The first respondent demonstrates your point very well. If it was a donkey called 'Labour', they would vote for it. They haven't noticed that it has become a totalitarian regime. I think that it is, family loyalties, (we have always voted Labour in our family syndrome), peer pressure. Significantly, however, it was always said, "that the working class vote for themselves, whereas, the middle class vote for the good of the country". Another one is, "if you vote Tory when under 40, you have no heart, but if you vote Labour when over 40, you have no brains". I think with many traditional Labour voters, they simply can't bring themselves to vote Tory.

Moreover, the constant brainwashing from, the left wing TV media, certain newspapers, teachers and lecturers, et al, doesn't help. Crucially, however, at the last election, more people in England voted Tory than Labour. So, you can thank the Scots for having this Government imposed upon you, and, I understand, the female vote. This will have much to do with their support of feminism and 'touchy feely politics' (nannying), and generally personalising issues, eg, I like Tony Blair rather than concentrating on policies.

I don't vote labour but would if it keeps the Tories out. And my guess would be that anybody who remembers the disasters of the last Tory government would do the same. They destroyed the things that make a society hold together with barely disguised glee, following thatchers war cry of "there is no such thing as society".

They tossed a few crumbs to ordinary people, in the way of privatisations and the selling of council houses, but ran down the railways, hospitals, schools, local democracy and the housing stock. The big bucks were made by their cronies in the city and abroad and it is only now after about ten years we are starting to get some of it back.

Personally I would fully support impeachment proceedings against Margaret Thatcher even now such was the damage they wreaked on ordinary people up and down the country.

Labour may not be perfect but they're a lot less vindictive than the Tories. I lived through the Thatcher Terror and I've got no wish to repeat the experience.

Content idiots keep voting Labour. Discontent idiots keep voting Tory, BNP and Independence.

The discontent idiot vote is split and the 'Divide and Conquer' rule unwittingly applies.

Isn't democracy idiotic?

Well i weren't one of them maybe people who like the state to run there lives for them . And also those who believe we should be squeezed for every last penny and then give the money to themselves and to there mates in Brussels. The problem also is we have no decent opposition with Dodgy Dave and his Tory-Lite Notting Hill Party. And the Liberals are a bunch of Europhiles so i voted for UKIP last time because they stand for the British people.
