They probably both wish the next two years were already over so they can get their multi-billion $ payouts from their cronies in the oil industry and leave their dismal records as politicians behind already.
I doubt either would step down willingly. Maybe Cheney could slip out claiming health issues though.

the real...rumor ...that youve not apparently heard is that they dont need innocent white house interns, a box of cigars, and the moral character of a tree slug to occupy the white house. some people learn from their predecessors failures. and the rumor is true.
