really alot of universitys do, they might say on the application you have to have minimal this . but not really, i know that Texas Tech, UTSA, Schreiner, UIW, Any of the Texas A&Ms except College station will accpet a 2.5. Sam Houston State University. TLU, UNT. Most schools are based off of your ACT and/or SAT scores. Most colleges if ur allready in college you can transfer from with a minimual GPA of 2.5. In reality, majority not all will accpet a 2.5 if your willing to pay the money to go there.

2.5 GPA will get more attention if you standardized test scores are decent... 18-24 on ACT maybe

Don't be intimidated to apply to the school you want. GPA is looked at, but a strong essay, interview, and activities outside school is another portion. Good luck
