the maths term 'mean' is another word for average n if u don't know how 2 figure out average it's quite simple i'll tell u. say u have a couple of numbers like... 10,25,39,and 74 (4 xample) u have 2 add all these numbers up so for these numbers the sum or the total of these numbers would be 148. then u have 2 divide the total by how many numbers u had started with so the final answer for this would be 37. now 37 is the average or mean of the numbers we started with(10,25,39 and 74).

it means an average. when you have a set of numbers (like 3, 2, and 7) you add them all up (equals 12) and divide them by the amount of numbers you used to get that sum (you used 3 numbers which were 3, 2, and 7). 12/3=4 which is your mean or average. Hope that helps you out. (Don't worry you can trust me I got an A in my high school Algebra 2 which is pretty hard.) any questions? just email me. or something.
