I've done that since I was a kid. I also put it on the outside leaving a little room on the bottom of the outside so I could hold it while filling it with ice cream.

mix chocolate chip cookie dough in the frosting and you may have a hit.......not to metion a bad sugar rush....lol

ewww my teeth hurt just thinking about it. chocolate covered cone sounds better. not too much chocolate, just the right amount.
