Yes they should beacuse then if there is an accident there is less chances of kids getting hurt.

& FYI - there are some buses that do have seatbelts (not all of them though)

Of course I do, and I think most people feel the same way. It's really stupid that school buses are not equiped with seatbelts. It's a law for every driver and rider to wear seatbelts but not on school buses, it just does not make sense.

They say that the seat backs are up high enough that kids on buses are safe in a crash. This is all fine until the bus is hit from the side, or flips over, or goes over the side of an overpass or something (happened a couple of months ago in U.S. somewhere).

Then what would be the point in the teeth-smashing bars they have to save you???
but they do have seatbelts in coaches.

you don't put seat belt's on in regular bus either, the reason being if there was a horrendous accident and the bus caught fire the kids would panic and not be able to get out on their own.

The ones I used to frequent had seat belts.. kids just don't bother with that sort of stuff although they should.. most of the time they're up and about rough housing anyway..

a big debate. buses rarely get in wrecks....and they have those high-backed padded seates. works most of the time...

yeah, they should...even though they aren't in many crashes a year...still i wouldn't want to be a bus when it crashed
