how do i update my xbox360?

im trying to play battlefield2 modern combat from the original xbox to my 360 my freinds are playing and when i try it says an update may be requiered were can i find this update on my 360

If your Xbox360 is concted to the internet, it will update automaticly, if not you can look for the updates in the Xbox360 page, www.xbox360.com

Your 360 should notify you when you can download an update. A message should pop up with options like "yes update" or "no later".
