Land you the job you want? Or, give you a little something extra when being interviewed for the job you want?

Just curious .....

If your beatiful and know it all it will really give you is a little extra confidence but thats what can carry you a heck of a long way. And unless its a modeling job if they are hiring on looks it isnt worth it.

Of course! I am not saying that to be facetious. Attractive people have much higher percentage to get a job that someone who is not attractive. Depending on the type of job, someone who has more experiance and/or quality experiance yet is not very pleasant to the eye may lose out to someone less qualified yet attractive.

It is all about image, sad but true. The public responds differently to attractive people as well. Go to a mall and look at the sales people. Go to a dentist office or a doctors office (private practice) and look. You may find seasoned people in those atmospheres but generally they are pleasant on the eye.

There ya go

i have to say it.. i think being good looking can get you a job easier.. it's horrible though because people who got the jobs for being pretty or handsome may have not been the best suited for that job.. i'm a model.. and i guess u could say i'm pretty *not bragging*..so yeah i've gotten many jobs.. but when i'm in an interview.. i always make flaws into great ones.. like if they say what's your biggest flaw.. say something like "i always have to finish things.. or i'm a perfectionist".. or something like that... don't be like "welll... i don't really finish things on time, and i'm kinda lazy".. that'll do the OPPOSITE of landing you the job

as long as you are qualified for the job, dressing your best and bring out all your beauty does not hurt to give you the edge against any other qualified applicant...

if it is the sole means for employment, that is sickening and a good way to ruin ones business...

Most good companies and employers will base the first choices on the skills and qualifications, then meet you in person to judge you an your personality and the way you present yourself ( looks )

( even though I hate to say it that way )

i think it does, but what good of a job can it be, that they would hire you for your looks and not for your qualifications. for me it depends on how well you can do your job and of course your experience in the field.

it makes a big impression.
a lot of people say looks don't matter, but how you look in today's society, can make or break you. if people tell you looks don't matter, they're in denial, they matter to everyone, just more to some and less to others. but yeah, personality and confidence matters a lot more.
