I want to reformat my computer, but their are certain programs that I have installed that I HAVE to have. For example Mathcad 2000 and SAS. Of course I installed them using a CD, but it seems that I have misplaced the CD. Is there any way I can reformat my computer while keeping these programs on?

No, unfortunately the programs will not be on the computer. You'll have to reinstall them. When you reformat a drive, you’re deleting everything on the drive; and without an OS, a program can not exist.

I'm not positive but I don't think you can. When I reformat my hard drive it clears everything and I am stuck with putting everything back on so I try to keep re-formats as a last resort. But no I really don't think its possible who knows it might be. I mean I'm good with computers but programs remaining I don't specialize in that.
