It depends entirely on where you live. Various states have different laws concerning this, and a lot of states are changing those laws as we speak. In some states you can definately get a drivers liscence before you turn 17, but often only after completing driver's ed.

so far if yo pass all the requirement's,IE your drivers ed class,your tempt test,and road test,yes you will get a probationary license,which will allow you to drive alone,but remember any traffic violations will result in double the points,so if you get s speeding ticket,instead of the usual 3 points, for you it will be 6,until you get a regular license,which i believe is 2 to 4 years,but it is still a license,just certain restrictions

In some states. But from what I have seen on the news there going to raise the age limits and be a lot stricter on teenage drivers because they are causing so many accidents.

Ya damn right as long as u had ur learners permit for at least one year u can get a drivers license in most states, i live in Florida

I think you can get like a LIMITED JUNIOR LICENSE if I'm correct. It might depend on the state laws in your state, but here in NY you can get a limited junior license though it's not much different from a permit.

absolutely, you can get a license and start driving at 16 years of age. before you can drive, you must completed a series of drivers' ad classes and a road test with your instructor.
