Good Lord...what's next? Showing body bags on the evening news?!
Bushie can't allow a little thing like the Truth to stand in the way of his war now, can he?

No, it is a gag order punishable by court marshal. If your in the military you are owned by the military. The thing is though that they are speaking out anyway against George Bush. The Vietnam saga had the same effect, and the soldiers were called traitors when they returned home by Conservatives. This still haunts Veterans from the Vietnam era.

I don't think the media should be allowed in war. So far the Left wing media has done a fine job of pushing their defeatest agenda, and if we do lose there it is just the beginning of bad things for America and the world.

If you support the troops let them fight as they are able, and keep the media from depicting them as baby killers.

No I don't support those troops to not have freedom of speech and I have heard lately that a bunch of the troops have spoken out against Bush. He should never forbid anyone from saying what they want to say, he isn't a king a dictator he is trying to become . The Liberals have set him back notch or two, I like to see him suck up to the liberals, but they know him. You give him a inch and he'll take a mile , hold him down.

You mean feelings on Administration Policies during time of war? There is a difference, you know. I was not allowed to speak about my feelings on the War on Drugs, nor on Operation Dessert Shield/Dessert Storm (the first Persian Gulf War). Both of those were under a seperate President, but, we were advised to not speak of it when Clinton took over, so, yeah...

In World War II the slogan was "Loose lips sink ships." or "How about a fresh cup of shut the f--k up?" Both were posters used extensively to teach citizens and service members to not discuss things, that flapping your jaw kills people.

It is similiar to when you go to a store and the manager wouldn't want a stocker being the spokesperson for the organization.
Believe me, you don't have to go far in any large organization to find someone dissatisfied with how things are going.
If you were a general, would you want a private who has a very limited perspective being your press information officer? Not if you are a smart general who wants to win the war and keep media relations normal.
Sorry, I know it doesn't sound politically correct, but sometimes in the military you have to bite your tongue and do your job.

I think every American can and should express his opinions...but i don't think the soldiers should talk to the media while on duty, it should be left to their superior officers....but that should not stop a soldier from getting on the Internet or the phone and saying whatever he dam well pleases, short of traitorous acts

Soldiers must not be tolerated to be interviewed by media without the approval of their superiors because they might give top secrect information about the war.

Think about this.

The Current Situation
Based on the abundance of reliable, verifiable information provided on the www.WantToKnow.info website, it appears that there are factions within the world's power elite which desire to exert as much control over the world as possible. Their primary means for establishing control are through promoting fear, secrecy, and polarization, and through distracting people from their deeper purpose in life. As these factions gain ever greater power and control, our freedoms and liberties are increasingly taken away, sometimes without our even realizing it.
