Combo skin is the worst. I've got the same type of problem. I've always used Almay products, and I love it. I went through a long period where I only used makeup for special occasions. Now I'm wearing makeup again, but I didn't want to look made up. I've started using Neutrogena's Sheer Minerals foundation, which is a powder so it's really light. I really like it. Almay also has a mineral foundation that you can try. If you don't mind paying a lot for makeup, people rave over Bare Escential mineral foundation.
As far as face wash. It took me more than a year, but I finally found a combonation that works for my combo skin. At night I wash with Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. It's a benzoil peroxide formula, so that really helps with the acne. I've never used it as a mask, but I guess you can. I follow that us with Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2, which is actually a toner. The best toner I've ever found. It cleans you up without drying you out. Depending on your age you may want to follow up with an eye cream. I don't. In the morning I wash with Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser. It's not as harsh as the Clear Pore Cleanser, but it has a nice exfoliant and won't dry you out in your dry areas. I follow that up with Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for combonation skin. Yes, a moisturizer. When my skin was strictly oily, I never reached for a moisturizer, but now that it's combo, I need it. This moisturizer is really light and works well with combo skin. The best thing for on-the-spot acne treatment is Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment. It's 2.5% benzoil peroxide. When my doctor prescibed benzoil peroxide, she prescribed 5%. Most OTC stuff (Clearasil, Oxy) is maximum strength (10%). Neutrogena is the only one that has something that isn't going to irritate, but still works great!
If I need to wash during the day, I usually go with the pore refining stuff or the toner. The clear pore stuff is too harsh to use more than once a day. Speaking of that, you need to give the clear pore stuff at least a week...it can leave you looking red if you aren't used to it. But it goes away if you give it a chance.
All of this stuff also is great because it's hypo-allergetic and fragarance-free!

I LOVE my biore cream face wash. Not the warming stuff, the matte finish stuff. It is perfect because I have serious acne problems and doesnt overdry but still cleans very well. Also if you have dry skin I swear by Clean and Clear dual action mousturizer with the salicylic acid in it. Since I have been using both I have looked so much better. other than that Im not a huge makeup person but I love both of those products and would recommend them to anyone.

hello, well, 1st use a face wash that doesn't dry out your face, Cetaphil, and use a moisturizer. Make up, I have tried everything, right now I am using Bare Minerals, they sell it at Ulta, a cosmetic place. The kit I have, cost around $60 bucks. but it lasts a long time and is not harmful to the face. I just started using a night cream, I love it. My face feels soo soft in the morning. Good luck

I love The Body Shop. The Vitamin E and the Vitamin C lines are wonderful. They are for "all skin types". They have some specialty ones for oily/blemished and for dry but with combo skin I would start of trying the all skin types and see if those help. They also have a wonderful one for sensitive skin - Aloe. It has no preservatives in it. Good luck!

This is really good.
St. Ives apricot scrub
Olay regenerist night (you can use any time of day)
or other natural lotion product.
finally Lancome dual finish pressed powder is excellent foundation as is Bare Minerals.
Both are a bit expensive but they last a long time, and work great.
