That would depend on where you are going, what type of collared shirt it is, how nice you need to look, etc... Then of course, the materials would come into play. Is the jacket leather, cotton, wool, linen..... Is the coat suede, microfiber, cashmere, shearling..... All of that matters when trying to put an outfit together.
But in general:
A hoodie would be very sporty. A jacket would be nicer. A coat is a long jacket, and would probably be more formal.

A coat would look nicer. if you have a nice leather jacket that would be perfect. Or a blazer if its not too cold.
