This can be embarassing for a teenager! But, your parents still love each other, and it's healthy and necessary to express that love in a physical way in a marriage. It helps keep a marriage strong, so it's a good thing. When your younger siblings ask awkward questions that make you uncomfortable, just tell them to wait until your parents come out of the room and ask them! That way, if they're being too loud, they will get the hint!

Good God! if I asked my kids to leave the house every time I "did it" I'd never see them again...lol
BUT doing "it" in front of them or so they can hear is another thing....every family has their own code of behaviour though, I don't think it's something I'd want my little ones listening in on...The louder sessions I wait til hubby & I are alone. If it's bothering you that much could you not speak to your parents about it, they should respect how you feel, I'm sure they wouldn't want to hear any of their adult children up to a bit of hanky panky...I'm very liberal minded but sorry, I wouldn't want to hear my kids making love, even though they've got kids themselves I kinda still don't know where they came from....lol..Respect is needed somewhere along the line don't you think? I can understand how you feel.
Funnily enough my kids do see me as a sexual being but I could never see my Mother like that..ewwwwwwww!
I would NEVER have wanted to hear her either.

If parents waited until all the kids were out of the house they would never have a chance to do it. Sex is a part of life and a way for a couple to share with each other. I would rather know that my parents were having sex than to listen to them fight all the time.

That is why bedrooms have doors on them. If you are old enough to watch the younger ones, yes it is OK. Think about it, if they have to wait until no kids are in the house they might not ever have sex. No one likes to think about their parents having sex but it happens. Tell your siblings your parents need to talk in private and leave it at that.

I think it's ok but I would be really creeped out by it. Especially having little siblings myself, I couldn't imagine them asking me. Maybe try dropping hints. It'll be really awkward but if they see that you are so annoyed that you are willing to talk about it, maybe they'll see how much it matters to you. Whenever I have to tell someone something that would be really awkward, I write them a note and leave it on their bed. That always seems to break the ice.

In the privacy of there own room, of course. You should be proud that your parents are so in love with each other. And that is an act of love only to be shared with your spouse. Just turn the volume up on the T.V. so you don't have to think about it.

Of course it's okay!
My husband and I do it all the time... we just close the door and put the volume up... if it's too late at night we don't.... but we always make sure the door is locked.
FYI: Just because we are parents doesnt mean we have to stop having sex!

Okay honestly? I'm really sorry you have to deal with this! You should talk to your mom in private about it. tell her that it makes you uncomfortable when they bluntly do it while you and your siblings are around. Let her know that they ask questions about it and you're not comfortable talking to them about it. Its completely okay to be upset about it! Dont feel bad for that. If she gets upset or ignores you, try talking to your school councelor, or an adult that you trust. I'm sorry and good luck, hang in there!

Yes, it's okay for the parents to pursue their marital relationship while the kids are home. What choice do they have? Your parents are grown human beings who need their time alone to express their love for one another, but discretion is a must.
