People do that to make fun of them, but I've never actually seen someone do that.

Yes lol it's so funny to me! My dear Indian friend from high school taught me that. I miss him. They make fun of Americans too, by the way and they have a great sense of humor usually.

Yes. It's infectious too. I lived there for a bit and was bobbing my head side to side as I spoke. The thought makes me laugh now!
