I WISH I lived in the South. I live in Kentucky, but if only I could go just 2 1/2 hours south...
The South consists of, anymore, 9 of 11 original Confederate states (Florida and Virginia really don't count any longer.) (Oklahoma is also very midwestern in culture, but Southern in hospitality, so I guess that would be semi-southern.)
I like the South because of its warm weather, warm people, cuisine, cities, beautiful scenery, and what not. For the most part, living here in the midwest just doesn't cut it in these departments.

BTW, Texas would be my top pick by a loooongshot!!! Second, perhaps Tennessee. But, all of the South has at least something great to offer.

Now I take offense to that Florida comment. I live in Florida, and I am a Southerner. Now mind you if you go to far south you hit Yankees but in the Panhandle there are plenty of Southerners and Rednecks here too and we certainly have Southern hospitality down here.

I live in Nebraska. I hate it here. Our football team sucks, weather is crappy (tornado alley) and cold and snowy. People for some reason are snobs and a lot of million/billionares live here (?) dont get it. There is no beauty, just farm land and nothing. only two major cities. this aint the place to live and be happy
