Maybe your sickness has something to do with labor. I always got sick when I was in labor. But to answer your question I am sure it will be up to the Dr. My daughter had a temperature and they wouldn't induce until it was gone. Good Luck !

I hope not. You should really wait for labor to start on its own. Having an induction can increase your risk of c-section. Having a c-section can increase your risk of infertility, future ectopic pregnancy, future placenta previa & placent abruptia.
You may not be late...Average first pregnancies are 41 weeks 1 day, and pregnancies with prior births avereage 40 weeks 3 days. You can pass that by almost 2 weeks!
I was 22 when I had my son. I was induced & had a very hard long labor...( I wasn't really late but I didn't know that until recenlty, I was 41 weeks!) I had a c-section after a very long difficult labor. The recovery was very long & painful. Now I am 25 and want more children...Most of the time you can only have 2-3 c-sections. So this next child could be my last..at 25 that is very devistating.
I know I do not know all your cercumstances but I hope that by getting my story out, you may choose to wait. You baby will come. And it will be much more enjoyable if you wait until s/he (the baby) & your body are ready.
It may be too late, but try to check out this books:
The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer
The info was shocking, the things that the Doctors don't tell you is what is so amazing! Well I pray for your safe delivery & your new baby to come. However that is!

Do you have the flu? It just depends on why you are throwing up. If it is just nerves or late "morning sickness", they probably will. Is it possible that you are nervous about being induced? If you are, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and you forget about the pain almost immediately. Good luck and God bless! Oh, yeah, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Is it morning sickness? How far along are you? I was induced and one of the first things I experienced once I was dialated enough was nausea. I threw up and they still left the induction medicine in me.
