If you're getting a van, get the Hyundai Entourage. It's been rated the safest minivan ever tested. Maybe a compact SUV then get the Hyundai Santa Fe. Hyundai cars in general are economical, reliable and come with great warranties should something go wrong.

What do you drive now?
If a van's your thing it would probably be a good idea, an SUV sucks gas but it's an option too. If you are planning on having more kids I wouldn't suggest getting a car, like a Honda or something, because you will quickly run out of room with seats, and space for diaper-bags, strollers, etc.

Dont know what you are driving now, but yes a van would give you the badly needed 4 doors and room for all your baggage..which believe me is considerable. I dont know if you are where parking is a problem, but a car with room will help you move around. Mini vans are receeding from the market because of fuel prices..so they may be a good buy price wise.

I'd get a Honda CR-V or any Subaru all wheel drive wagon. You'll need the space for all of the crap associated with having kids. I know since I had 2 daughters, now 16 & 20yrs old. Definately need a 4 door vehicle.

A mini van is very good choice, but if you guys don't want too look too like the soccer mom/dad type. I would also concider getting a large 4 door car, such as Enterpid, 300c, Charger, Taurus, and im sure there are that many more.

We have twins and we have a Dodge Grand Caravan. We're happy with it, but they do start falling apart at around 85,000 miles. If I could afford it, I'd get the Honda Odyssey. Good luck with the twins. It's hard at first but it gets easier at around 3 years.

I would get a van as it has easier access and can take the prams etc without to much trouble. Plus you have a clearer vision into the back area to watch the kids.
