How does a cell change shape? If I added a drug to a cell and it changed shape...how did this occur?

Cells produce glutamate when they are dying which causes hypretrophy and hypometabolic changes probably it swelled until it blew a membrane lost its water and shriveled up.

the only moving i know of is when a cell shrinks or expands when a cell is put into hypotonic or hypertonic acid.
other than that, just meiosis and that's it.
