I've had a HORRIFIC pain in my abdomen on the left side. It hurts SO bad. It's like a sharp and sudden pain. It has happened 2 times today. It's not time for my period yet. I've had unprotected sex for a couple weeks now. What could be the cause of this?

You need to make an appointment with a gyn. It sounds like ovarian pain. You probably have a cyst or cysts. You don't want to wait because an hemorrhagic cyst can rupture and you will become very ill

It could also be kidney stones. I have had pain on the left side which I thought were ovarian cysts that turned out to be kidney stones.
There so many things it could be in that area, so like several others have said, it best to see a doctor if it continues. There's so much potential for something serious in that area that it's best not to guess...

That happened to me..it was pain so bad I couldn't stand up straight. I went to the ER and they told me I had cysts on my ovaries. You really need to get the the DR. ASAP!

Ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy, or gas. If it's really that horrific, you need to see your doctor right away!!!

go to the Dr. and get some meds for Rectal Spasams, its not what ur thinking, it sounds worse than it is.

not an md, but i have experienced this- now 30, but started when i was 16. . . . fibroids is very common, so is endometriosis. . . always consult your gyn, to be sure. . . you might be preg. word of advice, if you're not seriously dating this guy, USE PROTECTIOn. . . . life's too short
