I wanted to know that if we are in a major battle when it comes time for the next President to take office in 2 years will G.Bush
remain in office until things are resolved. Or will it be up to our
next President to clean up his mess.

No, this isn't a WW III and Bush doesn't have a Declaration of War filed with Congress. Bush also invaded Iraq, these are impeachable offenses really.

NO! Even Lincoln stood for reelection as usual in 1864, opposed by Gen. George McClellan on the Democratic ticket.

No--Bush cannot remain in office once his second term is up--the Constitution clearly prohibits that.
