Let's say you unconditionally love two people, and one of them kills the other. Would you stop loving them, would you forgive them, or would you strongly dislike and love them at the same time? If you stopped loving them, the love would have never been completely unconditional, for them or for the person they killed. If unconditional love can be cancelled out, it's not really unconditional.

My experience in life is that there is only one unconditional love. None of us are capable of it. Some of us do come close, but our humanity makes it impossible for it to be unconditional.

Like you say Unconditional Love just is. Perhaps some would think it was less than it is; but I would agree with you. Usually we just aspire to the true reality that unconditional Love is. Eventually we will let the illusion go; Illusion cannot exist without our participation. When we refer to God's Love we are referring as you say to that which is neither with-held or given. Surely unconditional means no conditions; nothing to get confused about. Focusing on what unconditional Love means would/is a beneficial practise probably:))

If you unconditionally loved both and one killed the other, then you would forgive the killer.

Honestly, there is no point in being mad at or disliking a person ...the only person who suffers is you. You are the only one carrying the feelings around inside.

I think that you would still love them if it was unconditional but you might blame them a bit for killing the other person. Basically, you would still love them but since they did what they did, they would be responsible for their actions.

I Love "Some" people unconditionally. First of all I don't understand "them" in your question. Why would I stop loving the one who died? The other, I would still love(assuming I loved him unconditionally). I don't have to agree with the behaviors of the people I love, but the behaviors don't make me stop loving them.
