Hi. That usually means interference from your monitor. Try turning the monitor off and see if the noise goes away. You need to reduce the strength of the signal by installing a choke or moving the speakers farther away.

Start by moving the speakers further away from the monitor, if possible. (hopefully you are using actual computer speakers or at least tv rated shielded speakers instead of common stereo speakers) Also check the leads for the speakers, making sure the insulation is still intact. Finally, check the plugs at the computer, and at the speaker for any loose connection. If all those do not fix the problem, and making sure about the speaker type that I mentioned before, then check the audio card to make sure it is grounded properly. A very slim chance, if your tower is next to the monitor, that you may have to consider replacing the audio card. Start with the speakers though. Good luck

firstly try listening through some headphones - do you still get a buzz - if not then you may have a loose wire in the speakers or they maybe faulting

If you still get a buzz try updating the driver for the sound chip/card

See if you still have this problem

(if you supply a bit more info - like the make of the pc and OS you have may be able to give a more concise answer)
