5 or 6 should be fine. Make sure that there is enough room for your private parts, otherwise it feels uncompfortable. Lycra is a good starter, cause it is very elastic.

wow i think i know less about panty hose than you and i'm a girl. i thought they came in sizes small, medium and large... i was gonna answer your question by saying 'large' but then i read your extra details and i realized i was gonna be wrong and felt like an idiot. but based on your info, if they feel a bit more tight than what you want (like they feel uncomfortable) then you should try a size bigger. they are supposed to feel a little snug so that they stay on you and stick to your legs, but being too tight on you could lead to a rip when you sit down... just think about that. :) btw again why do you want to where panty hose under your jeans?

If you measure your hips, you should find the correct size. Some panties, to me, seem to fit a size larger. For example, Jockey says I should wear a 7; however, I prefer a size 6 in that brand. Sometimes, you have to buy and try.

OK if you are a 34 in. waisted man then do not go buy a size 5 or 6 in women's underwear it will be too small. I honestly don't know the correct size but bigger than 6.

I'm a guy who also likes to wear panties(well just about any piece of women's clothing actually). My waist size is also the same as yours. I wear either size 7 or 8 panties. Email me if you have any other questions.
