In Mexico, what he does is considered kidnapping and a crime. That's why he was picked up. Bounty hunters know that it is illegal to grab anyone in Mexico, and he did it anyway. I think for the right reasons, but unfotunately there was a commotion that drew attentipn to the pickup before they could get away with the RAPIST.

Duane "Dog" Chapman talks quite frankly about his years as a member of a Motorcycle gang. He says he was imprisoned for killing someone, but that it was not true. I cannot say it was or was not. What I can say is that "Dog" learned from his mistakes in prison and decided to take a new path once he was released. He strongly believes in redemption because he feels he was given a second chance himself.

As for the travesty of trying to extradite him back to Mexico, it's quite funny that Mexico routinely flips the US the finger when we ask the same of them. A serial rapist such as Andrew Luster (the one Dog captured) could quite easily survive there forever as long as he paid off the right people. I suspect that capturing Luster really irritated someone who WAS being paid in the Mexican government. This is just their attempt at vengeance or to get Dog to pay them off to let him go.

God Bless Duane Chapman and may he beat this rap.

He served time in Texas for first-degree murder, but I'm not sure how long he was in. He of course says the charges were wrong, but that's what he served time for.
