my step daughter was on the depo has not taken it sence june or before , she had 3 periods last month and none this month i tiold her she was late and she said that she wasnt cuz her last one in december was right before christmas , can she really go by that , or does the depo have hersystem really messed up ?

Depo really messes your system up. I was on it and when I stopped getting it my cycle was REALLY messed up. I'd have 2 periods one month, none the next, one the next, 3 the next. It takes a really long time for your system to get regulated after depo. Although that's not saying she couldn't be pregnant... If she's having sex she could be... Best thing to do is wait a couple more weeks and then if it doesn't start get her a home pregnancy test or take her to the doctor, they might be able to give her something to help regulate her cycle if she's not pregnant.

I was on depo for about 3 years following the birth of my son, and it messed up my periods for about two YEARS following. Sometimes I wouldn't get a period, sometimes I'd get it and it would last for two or three WEEKS continuously.
You might want to have her get checked by the gyno, just in case.
