I'm a bit confused about the whole situation to start with. I mean, what is it exactly that the troops are doing there? what are they fighting against? I'm not talking about now, ...but I mean, what needs to be done to get them back? what is the government of Iraq doing for themselves? HOW DO WE GET THEM BACK?

Pack up and leave....Really now who would be there to stop us, and say you can't leave?

Congress and Senate should immediately call all debts, bankrupt the government. Stop all pay including military and others, pension, medical insurance, contracts and Iraq expenses. If I was in a company the employer would have had to go bankrupt according to government regulations.

Don't pay Bush and his staff first. The exit strategy is declare there is no more war, we have no money left in the bank.

Employer go bankrupt and close the factories for thousands.

Time to take our military and leave overnight without telling. Skip out and don't pay anything more. We went with a small lost, leave quickly.

I do not think we are anywhere close to pulling out of Iraq. In fact, I would place my money on Iran as the next target for our military. Even if we get the Iraq issue "solved" and Iran squared away we will still have a fair amount of troops stationed in that region. Probably within Iraq and of course Kuwait.

We are fighting against Saddam Hussein's loyalists who want to reinstate a regime of terror and mass murder upon the Iraqi people. We are stabilizing the area so that when we leave, terrorist groups cannot overrun and take control of Iraq. The government is slowly getting a grasp of what it's supposed to do, and will succeed in time. When the insurgents are defeated, and Iraq is stable, we can leave. War is just a prelude to peace.

They must be given weapons first to protect defend and hold that country for themselves, first and foremost.Good God I asked this military category here about why there not given enough weapons and got the most ignorant responses . like they would turn on us if we actually gave them enough weapons, that's retarded.they want turn on us.

we should arm them. train them, then pullback to bases and announce that if the violence ceases or gets under some control we will leave.fafter a year we wait, if its necessary. if they cant keep in control we come back in with everything we have to end the violence.asking other nations to help, with all they can put in there, but we give them a chance first, then we will leave completely, this will let them know.. by an act of congress.. that yes if they Can control there on country then we will leave permanently.they need to know we will leave, they want us to leave. so lets leave, darn it.

Win. The only way to do that is stop this petty bickering and if you agree or disagree with us being there, we are there now we have to win. If not they will follow our troops home and we will be dealing with them here.

Do what you want, sport, you want to play stupid, that's up to you. While you're playing stupid ... remember it's live fire. From people who may not necessarily like you, but like yourself, really don't give a damn one way or the other. With a few thousand years practice into the bargain.
