Tomorrow night I am having a sleepover for my bday. There is one girl that I cannot decide if I should invite her or not. Here is the situation: She's funny, nice, and would be lots of fun, but her parents are extremely strict and she goes with them 100%. I'm not saying that it is a bad thing, but we would'nt be able to watch any pg-13 movies, talk about guys, or stuff like that.
Am i a horrible person for thinking of not inviting her??? I know evereyone will just tell me to get over myself and have a friend I really like there. I seem shallow, but I'm really not! I don't gossip or any of that. It's just that my party would be really restricted and I don't want my other friends to become aggrivated.
Please HELP!!!

thats really hard, i have a friend exactly like that. I would definately invite her, I think it could really hurt her feelings if you dont. BUT when you do, tell her that you may be doing something (watching a pg13 movie) that she may not want to be involved with. Just give her a heads up, and let her know that you really want her to be there, but are leaving the decision up to her because of how she might disagree with the party.

obviously you dont want her there if shes not going to have fun, but you also dont want to hurt her feelings.

good luck! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :)

This is complicated. It is possible if her parents are so strict that she may not be allowed to come. Maybe you could have your mom call her parents and let them know that you are having a sleep over and that you want to invite her. She could tell them what movies you will be watching etc. and tell them who will be chaperoning. That way her parents could say yes or no based on the facts and the pressure would be off of you. I don't think she should dictate what you can and can't do at the party. As long as you are up front about what will be going on from the start, you won't have to worry about it. Hope that helps and that you have a wonderful time with or without your friend.

ok what i would do is ask myself which would be more fun and which do you value more
- having her at the party
-or watching pg-13 movies, talking about guys, and all that stuff

also, do all the people you're inviting like this girl? if not, avoid inviting her just so arguments dont happen. PS: if you already sent out invitations, dont invite her, she might think she was an alternate and that would hurt her feelings

first off, calm down. think about it this way, in 3 months from now, will it really matter? second, do you like her, do you like to be around her, do you think you could have a good time with her there, etc? if you think that all of your other friends will have a probelm with it, then you just explain that you want everybody to get along. you're not shallow, and you're not horrible! or, if it's a possibility, you should just go talk to you friend and see what she says about the situation; she will probably be honest, if she is a real friend. and remember this will not matter later, so don't stress! :o)

I would invite her but maybe let her know that there will be girl talk and tell her some movies that you might watch. So then its up to her on whether or not she wants to go. Have fun!

You could invite your friend but let her know up front that there will be PG movies shown and that you cannot control what people talk about (ie: guys). Then, let her decide whether or not she wants to come.

If there is a chance she won't like the conversions then do not invite her, and when she asks why she wasn't invited tell her you knew she wouldn't have fun.

IF YOU WANT TO BE A REAL FRIEND THEN INVITE HER ....BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE A PERSON WHO IS SHALLOW THEN DONT ......DONT KARE WHAT YOUR FRIENDS THINK

HERES WHAT YOU DO ----IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMTING THAT SHE IS AGINST THEN LET YOUR FRIENDS DO IT SUCH AS WATCH THE PG THIRTEEN MOVIE AND JUST DO SOMETING WITH THE FRIEND THAT IS AGINST IT TILL THE MOVIE IS OVER AND WHILE YOUR WITH HER ASK HER WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO AFTER THE MOVIE IS OVER
