Who was the actor originally hired to play Aragorn for the Fellowship of the Rings?

I know they started shooting with this actor but P. Jackson decided he was wrong for the role, too young. I just can't remeber who it was. Viggo was offered the role and he had to decide and get to the set by like the next day

Stuart Townsend was originally going to play the role, but he was indeed let go because the director felt as though he was too young, he was only 26, Viggo is 41
