Ovechkin..now Crosby might be a better player, but Ovechkin and his attitude are much better. Ovechkin seems to really appreciate everything. Crosby on the other hand...I see him and all I see is a whiny baby...when I watch him he's all whiny.

Sidney Crosby overall, because I feel he is a more-balanced player than Ovechkin, but to put it simple. Crosby will always have more points, Ovechkin will always have more goals. Crosby and Ovechkin also play entirely different styles, Ovechkin being more physical and more likely to attack the net and score. Crosby is also physical, but will always look to pass before taking the shot himself. Nonetheless, both excellent talents and the future of NHL hockey.

Sid the Kid is the better of the two because first of all he's a playmaker and then a scorer. Ovechkin is better in the physical aspects of the game and has an unnatural ability to score goals from anywhere, but Crosby makes the other players on his team better by his ice awareness, passing, and ability to draw in the defense to him and leave others open. Some even say he (Sid) could be the next "Great One". Plus, he's on pace to have the first 150 point season since Mario Lemieux.

Crosby! Have you ever seen a player get down on his knees on purpose to score a goal. Thats what he does. He will do anything to score or set someone else up to score. He is all about the team winning. He doesn't even care about his stats. If the Penguins would go on to win the Stanley Cup and Crosby wasn't any where near the top of the NHL in points he wouldn't care. He would probably call that year his best in the NHL. Just think in a couple years when the Penguins get a winger that can score for him. He might be the only person who would go over 150 points in a long time. If you ever go to a game you can see how he just takes over the game like all the other greats use to do.

I think the recent survey by ESPN was pretty revealing. They asked 141 players who they'd take if they were starting a franchise from scratch - Crosby was first with 45% of the vote, Ovechkin third at 10%.

Ovechkin will score goals and can play a physical game, but Crosby has skills and awareness that are unmatched in today's game. He's already the best player in the NHL, and he hasn't even come close to his peak abilities.

Crosby. He is amazing. There is only one reason why he is leading the NHL and that is because he is the best player in the nhl at this time. The kid is a majcian. He has amazing skill with the puck and if he keeps up at this pace will soon be compared with the likes of gretzky and other nhl greats. One big reason why Ovechkin isnt the best is because he is a cheap and dirty player.

I think that they are both very talented players. If I was to choose one or the other I would have to go with Crosby. He's fantastic and has amazing talent with the puck and has a great sense of the game. Watch out for Sid the Kid because he may break some records in the near future.

Neither. Ok maybe it isn't the case but it seems they have their strengths and that they are in different players and you can't really pick one as better. That means that although one is better then the other in this are or that they can't take the overall better. It really is like the Mario or Gretzky debate. Yeah they are young. No they aren't as good. They are two great players though. Now considering the Caps and Pens are big rivals already this just makes it bigger. I think in the end Crosby will be better, but I am a Pens fan.
