on my netflix i have a movie being sent out today, but it wont get hear till monday, why is that? arent friday and saturday "mailing days"?

that's probably the estimated delivery date. they put that there so if it doesn't come by then you can report a problem to them... it'll probably get there before then so don't worry :)

Companies that do mail order are under a federal law called the "mail order rule" which means they're not allowed to guarantee shipping days and tend to give dates that are further off than the day you'll actually get it. They tend not to tell you that the exception being Dell who religiously reminds customers that the ship date is an estimate.Also remember they use US Mail which is slow anyway if your movie doesn't get to you within a week report it missing.


It can depend on your membership. The higher your fee the faster you get your dvd's.

That's business he who spends the most money monthly gets the better treatment. I use netflix because they carry movies no one else has. I like foreign films and classics.

sometimes the movie is not available from your nearest shipping facilty. I had it happen to me with a recent movie, it was shipped from Oregon ( other end of the country) instead of from the facility an hour away from me.
That's why it took 3 days instead of one.
It was worth it though, since I really wanted to see the movie.

i dont know, but i'm pissed at netflix myself. i've had it for a year almost and i waited for my movie since tuesday. the whole week gone right by and they didn't send anything yet even though it said it did.
