I love Giada's shows and cookbook, but I have a trivia question... if Giada's the daughter of Veronica De Laurentiis and Alex De Benedetti, why doesn't she use her father's last name? Is she trying to ride on the coat tails of her famous grandfather Dino De Laurentiis?

She never talks about her dad. Even when she did the special when she went to Italy, she only talked about and did things with her mom. Thats probably why she uses the name. But honestly, it doesn't matter...because her recipies are great! Who cares about the name.

I love her show and I have one of her cookbooks. I don't think she is very close with her father or her parents are divorced. I'm not sure about it because she always mentions everyone on her mom's side of the family. I like her last name as it is but who knows....

I am a big fan of Rachael Ray but I didn't become a fan of Giada until I saw her in a thanksgiving special rubbing a turkey down in olive oil and giving it a massage......good times......

I love everyday Italian. I think her food looks sooo Good. I have tried some of her recipes and the are good. As far as her last name, I really do not know.

She probably only eats when she is tasting the food she made for the show! lol The same goes for Sandra Lee and that Robin Miller chick.
