no, I think they are going to be lazy because the TV and video games have taken more importance in their lives than decent work ethic. Kids have no discipline today and its the parents fault. Somewhere along the line people thought, I want my kids to like me, so I will give them what they want, when they want it. So instead of turning them into disciplined, intelligent, hard working adults, they've taught them to take shortcuts, school isn't THAT important, and why cook when there is McD's. But as long as they know how to kill video game Nazi's who cares if they can balance a checkbook. Ok, I'm done with my rant, lol.
But yes they should also be taught to cook and take care of themselves.

Depends on whether they want to eat good food or not. My mom was not crazy about cooking and almost completely stopped when I was about 8 y/o. I love to cook myself, especially something new.
My friend on the other hand hates to cook and has three kids, so they eat only frozen dinners and fast food most of the time. I think it is damaging to their health, but who knows, one of them might end up liking it. I think their dad likes to cook every now and then.
And yes, I do think today's kids will be lazy parents by and large.
