I'm trying to remember the name of a comic I read on the web that I really enjoyed, but I'm totally blanking on the name. The main character bears a passing resemblance to Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes, except that he has black spikey hair and wears sunglasses. He fancies himself a total pimp daddy but generally strikes out or winds up looking foolish. He hangs around with a girl (usually wearing tight jeans, who frequently teases the main character about what a great a** she has and pretty much smacks him down at will, especially about his aspirations of being a pimp). One of the comic's other recurring gags involves looking up at the sky, asking god questions about the meaning of life (god, for his part, answers in olde english script and frequently uses hand puppets to make fun of a Satan character). Ring any bells? What comic is this?

No video that I'm aware of -- just a web-based comic. Not Johnny Bravo.

That sounds like "Slick" in Sinfest by Tatsuya Ishida. The girl is Monique and she's kind of a tramp but she's not interested in Slick. Is that the one you had in mind?

The only Calvin-like character with spiky hair I know of is the original old Dennis the Menace—not the American one, but the British one! But I don’t think that’s the one you are looking for. It does sort of seem to ring a bell, but only faintly. Have you seen Housebroken…?

Try Toonopedia. They have thousands of entries, and you might see a title you recognize. Good Luck!
