Many reasons could be the cause, if it is falling out at the roots it could be a you are lacking certain vital nutrients or it could be something hereditary. If it is falling out at the roots I would go see a doctor about it. If your hair is breaking (basically not at the root) and causing you to have a lot of hair loss, it could be you are not treating your hair correctly (wrong shampoo, blow drying, dying, perming, wrong type of brush) or improper diet. If it is the later then try changing shampoo, or getting a different type of hair brish and keep hair treatments that can weaken your hair to a minimum. You can also get some vitamin supplements that will help strengthen hair.

The natural shedding and growing of the hair accounts for a reasonable amount, but stress or bad diet could account for an annoying amount of loss. I would take a break from whatever you are doing and have a think about your lifestyle.Good Luck.

there is an amino acid in our bodies that regulates the hair growth and we have a constant cycle of hair falling out ( up to approx 100/day) while new growth is being stimulated.

You could be using too many hair products, you need to do a hot oil treatment. That should help. Claire

Hair is dead skin cells. that's all it is. when your hair gets too long, some parts may begin to fall off. It is completely natural.
