When I am on the internet about every 10 min or so my computer flashes a gray box up that says microsoft has encountered a problem and will need to close. The computer gets off the internet and I can get right back on, but it does it about 10 min later. I have restored my system, defrag, disk cleanup, ran anti virus and all I can think of please someone help. Thanks

sounds like some of the stuff i have had happen to a computer i had at one time! seems like everytime i have a computer problem i ask one person and they tell me one thing and i ask another person and they tell me somthing else which makes me wonder if anybody knows what they are talking about! some of the similar stuff i had going on i would do the spywear and anti virus and defrag and all that once or twice a day sometimes and it would still do whatever it was doing and then all of a sudden it would stop doing it on its own. i half way just chalked it up to that i had bought a refurbished computer but not sure if that was the problem or what and if your computer was new when you brought it that would confuse me even more!

Remove Internet Explorer seven and revert back to Internet Explorer six.
Then re-download Internet Explorer seven.

You are describing a very common fault...

To remove IE 7:

↓ Control Panel
↓ Add/ Remove Programmes
↓ Show updates (small box at the top)
↓ Remove IE 7
↓ You will automatically reverted back to IE 6

If you have IE 6 and not 7 then upgrade anyway.
