just recently i changed the battery on my motherboard and when i booted up, the bios displayed an error about the cpu and now both the bios and windows detect the cpu as 3.71GHz but originally its a celeron D at 2.93 GHz. i dont want it to burn out, how can i get the system to run it at 2.93GHz again? any would would be greatly appreciated.

Go into the bios (cmos) if if already set to auto, change to manually and manually set it up.
