I remember jumping up and down years ago about global warming.. and all we ever got from our top leaders in UK, USA and Australia.. was that it wasn't a real issue..

NOW FINALLY.. an acknowledgment.. for the first time and despite we still havnt ratified the Kyoto protocal..

My view is one of anger.. anger that the people in society are being totally ignored.. EVERYONE knows about global warming!! YET our Governments have until this week.. ignored it even existed..

Does this fact represent a total failure of Government and all but prove that anarchy is a better way to go..

The Governments set us on societies path.. so one cannot blame individuals who use greenhouse gases.. plus most greenhouses gas is produced by business.. not individuals..

Is it time perhaps that we abandon the pursuit of wealth.. and start fixing the environment?? Start helping the poor and healing the sick??

Or are we all going to try outdo each other forever??

STUPID HUMANS!!!

I love these questions - Global warming hahahaha - I believe that like I believe the BIG BANG theory. The earth has a natural rotation for change. We had the ice age and then the earth began to warm up and it will continue through this cycle until it begins to cool down. There were once giant holes in the Ozone and every one cried "Wolf" now the ozone holes are beginning to close and no one is saying a word.

While you can use the term "most" when describing the amount of CO2 created by industry and commerce, it is not like industry creates 95% and residential uses only 5%. I think it would be closer to 60/40 but try researching that on the web without a million dollar grant to help you put the numbers together any way you want them.

So, drop the big business is bad routine. Remember, they wouldn't produce any CO2 if people didn't demand the products they make.

I agree with you about the helping the poor and healing the sick. There are people right under our noses that definitely need our help and too many people are wasting time on something that has not been proven to be occuring based on man's input.

So try taking the next few hours of frustration that you feel about global warming and, instead of sitting around worrying about what you can't get done in that area, act out in a way that will surely impact forever the life of someone around you now.

Though global warming being caused by humans is very contraversal, I think the real issue is not that, but the issue of pollution and how IT is affecting the world we live in, the air we breath and the environment that is so called precious. Though everyone in teh world contributes differntly, everyone still contributes. The reason we have governmets in the world is to regulate the activites of humans making sure that society is on the right track and order is kept. Therefor saying that you are a hypocrit for driving a car is not a fair argument. We all do it and no matter how much we believe it is wrong, we learn by example adn as long as it serves its purpose there is no reason for us to give up on soemthing that in this day and age is so reliable. It would be regressing society to remove technology that creates pollution, cause it all does in some form. The only way that the current trend is going to change is if governments set restrictions and limit, and acctually FOLLOW THROUGH on there agreement enforcing set regulations and laws. The world has got to change somehow or time, why not start now. Its a difficult issue but if we want to survive on this earth for many more generations, its soemthing that has got to be done! Its liek in my city we are building a huge muti million dolar clinic for people with diabetes... and many people have been asking why spend mullions and millions on treating it instead of preventing it and educating people on healthier lifestyles. We need to take and active role in the prevention of world harm, not correction.. by then it may be too late.

The statistics you see quoted are still from years ago.
There is still a disagreement between the 'experts' on greenhouse gas emissions.

One will say that anthropogenic ( human caused ) co2 emissions is meling the glaciers
Another one will say that volcanos produce tons of co2
Then one will refute that humans cause more
Then another rebutts with stuff like a large volcano eruption puts out more greenhouse gases than all of man.

I am sure we affect our environment, but its still in argument.

And even if it were all man. Of the places you mentioned...
USA, UK, and Australia. not one city in any of those places is a top polluter... not one pollution hotspot in the world is in the USA UK or Australia.

What do you want to do about it??? People dont want to tell other countries what to do... how are you going to force them to stop pollluting?

Its China, Russia, India, Peru among others , that the pollution is coming from.

If "they" is the scientific community, people who habit study and placed up in scientific journals, then "they" have regular that worldwide warming has persevered unabated. it is barely those too ignorant to think approximately the oceans and air mutually that have faith there were no warming over the previous l. a. Nina development. all of us who aid you comprehend there is not any warming is asking in user-friendly terms at air, isn't knowledgeable of there being various water on the earth, and has no longer been gazing the month-to-month comments of worldwide average temperature. they are blind to the technological information. the thought sunspots reason warming is unquestionably real, yet we are starting to be warming now, this summer time and fall, in spite of a quiet solar. certainly, we ought to constantly be cooler than any time interior the previous century precisely because of the fact the solar is in a deep photograph voltaic minimum. This proves that something unnatural is overwhelming the organic techniques. No climatologist disputes the cycles of the solar. Warming has been at a fee that averages approximately .07 tiers according to decade. that's amazingly speedy for the earth, yet no longer so speedy in a individual's existence that we will abruptly end getting freak snow storms or early winters. climate nonetheless occurs.

Humans did not cause global warming.. 10,000 years ago, half of North America and Europe were covered in glaciers. The glaciers receded. Did people cause that too? Did you know that the average temperature of Mars has risen exactly the same amount as the average temperature of the Earth, in the same amount of time? I guess we caused that too! Guess what buddy! I have one question for you, Do you drive a car? If you do, you are a hypocritcand have no right to scream about something that doesn't even exist! This global warming thing is all political. Yes, the ice caps of the North pole are receding, but the ice caps of the South pole are growing! The left wing liberal media forgot to tell you that , didn't they!
I Love Global Warming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No mostly smaller and other governments are making more pollution per person than the bigger more successful countrys.
Most Scientists agree that most of Global Warming is a natural occurence. And if at the same rate we consume energy. It will raise the temperature of the planet an average of 1 degree in 1 hundred years.

well according to naked science or national geographic channel
Global warming is not something new for our planet
see:
solar activity
separation of our moon from the earth
volcanic emissions
variations in the earth's orbit
etc etc etc etc etc etc

Causes
"quote"
The climate system varies both through natural, "internal" processes as well as in response to variations in external "forcing" from both human and non-human causes, including solar activity, volcanic emissions, variations in the earth's orbit ("orbital forcing") and greenhouse gases. Climatologists agree that the earth has warmed recently. The detailed causes of this change remain an active field of research, but the scientific consensus identifies greenhouse gases as the primary cause of the recent warming. Outside of the scientific community, however, this conclusion can be controversial.

"The Governments set us on societies path.. so one cannot blame individuals who use greenhouse gases.. plus most greenhouses gas is produced by business.. not individuals.. "

the government is individuals, businesses are individuals. we are the problem. it is the fault of all of the people who have failed to get their attention. you cannot blame the ignorant and greedy for persisting in ignorance and greed, however infuriating that becomes. all you can do is continue to pound away at the wall until it crumbles. there will be another after that, but society is always made as we push and pull it one way or the other.

Do you know that we or the government rather does not i repeat does not have a test planet out there to even know if were having global warming. The government cant prove that the stuff we use is destroying our planet for sure, because they didn't have a planet that was using the stuff we are using. So the whole recycling movement is propaganda. business creating business! So there.
