Ive been having brown spotting since saturday the 20th. I ovulated on the 14th (I took a ov test). My period isnt due until the 28th. Anyone else ever have this happen? It happened last month too. Ive been ttc for the past 3 months now and am wondering if anyone else has brown spotting for this long which either stops before getting or leads to their period?

Is it normal to spot old blood for that long though??

It happens to me often and I'm healthy so I guess it's normal. My doctor told me it happens more often to women who use tampons. Don't forget though that menstrual cycles can change and vary from month to month so it's possible that this is actually the beginning of your period. Each month, either the length of flow, or the amount of flow is different for me. When I get the spotting it's usually after a very short, light flow month. I don't think you need to worry, but why not mention it to your doctor to put your mind at ease? Best of luck.

Brown blood means it's old blood. Could it be implantation bleeding? You can spot for so many reasons, it's hard to answer.
