The similarities seem true to me, but are they coincedence, or canonical?

-Vincent and Vic share the same last name.
-Harvey Kietel plays both The Wolf and Mr White in both movies, and when on the phone Pulp Fiction, he says "Thanks, Joe." Joe is The Wolfs employer in Reservoir Dogs.
-In PF, Jimmie Dimmick's wife is a Nurse named Bonnie. In RV, Nice Guy Eddie takes the dying Mr. Orange to a nurse named Bonnie for makeshift care.
-Oddly enough, Mr White in RV is revealed to be named Larry Dimmick. In PF, Jimmy and The Wolf have never met.

Any ideas?

There are definite similarities. Some Tarantino buffs say that Vincent from Pulp and Vic from Reservoir Dogs are brothers.
Mr. White also shares the last name "Dimmick" with Pulp Fiction's Jimmy Dimmick.

No.

Tarantino likes to use similar names in the movies he does, but that's it. For instance, in True Romance the female character who marries Christian Slater's character is named Alabama.

In Res. Dogs Harvey has a scene with the old mob boss and talks about a female thief named "Alabama".

Tarantino just likes using similar names and backgrounds for characters that are similar.

It's kinda cool because if you've seen his other movies you'll recognize these things, like you did, which I is good because most people just gloss over or totally tune out when watching movies. So, kudos to you for paying attention to details.

they're definatley related in some way.
Pulp Fiction could potentially be a "sequel" to Reservoir Dogs.
they have alot of the same character names, as you mentioned,
and the black suit and tie uniform of RD is carried over to PF by Jules and Vince.
