I agree - we do a lot of good. But that's not the only thing we ever do.

Just recently, I moved to Europe. I now know first-hand why foreigners dislike us. Some of the reasons are silly. Some are contradictory. Some are galling, while others are just common sense.
1) Many foreigners have this odd notion that America became wealthy through some lucky fluke, that we don't deserve the high level of success we have enjoyed. American tv and movies escalate this dislike of Americans. They see the "Jerry Springer Show" and think all Americans are just like these stupid, ignorant, lazy, low-lifes. You have any idea how galling it would be to be an accomplished professsional living in a cramped apartment and see some American that can barely tie his shoes living in luxury?
2) A lot of people simply have no idea how much the U.S. contributes in foreign aid. Most Egyptians hate the U.S., and I am certain not one in a hundred has any idea that we are their biggest contributor of aid. So, from a PR standpoint, we are just tossing this money out the window.
3) Many nations feel impotent when faced with the U.S., and this makes them angry, bitter, and resentful. In many arenas, they simply cannot compete, and this breeds a lot of ill will. When the U.S. freed the citizens of Iraq from their brutal dictator, we expected long lasting gratitude. But after the initial euphoria wore off, countless Iraqis' complained that America made them feel humiliated, because they were not strong enough to kick out Saddam themselves.
4) The huge majority of foreigners believe the U.S. is contemptuous of the desires of other countries. All around the Arab world, people somehow blame their predicaments on America.
5) In cases where the U.S. inadvertantly harms another country, the populace thinks it is on purpose. For example, both the U.S. and practically all of Western Europe have farm subsidies. Africa cannot compete with this, and so their economies suffer greatly. But do they blame the French (who have the highest subsidies)? No, of course not. They blame
A-M-E-R-I-C-A.
We're the world's favorite whipping boy.

Liberals are self loathing creatures.
That explains a lot of what they do that makes no sense.
Liberals are the new fascist Nazi's.
They can't tolerate any opinion different than their's.
Look what they do to college speakers. They throw urine, pies, pull fire alarms, start fights, etc etc, to keep conservative's from speaking.
They want to pass laws to eliminate talk radio.
Liberals are intolerant, bigoted fascists, incapable of allowing free speech.
Islamicfascists have pledged to murder you and me.
Liberals want to help them.
Conservatives want to fight them.
Liberalism is ok when it is practiced.
But todays America's liberals, are not real liberals.
They are against change of all types and devoid of new idea's or solutions to problems.
Conservatives offered many new programs and initiatives the last 6 years, and liberals always fought against them, with never an original idea or solution to offer in return.
Liberals love it whan a woman murders a child that is unborn but hate it when criminals who rape, murder and commit attrocities get the death penality.
In reality the liberals of today are Stalinists and Marxists. Their belief that government is the solution to all problems and no wealth should be privately owned is what drives todays liberals.
They are also anti-American. They believe America is the worlds problem and the world would be better off without America in it.
Liberals are all for forsaking the poor weak and downtrodden if America's military is involved in keeping them alive, but insist on keeping America's poor weak and downtrodden in their miserable existance because of 'political correctness', (New Orleans and any urban city).

I don't hate America. America has done alot of good in the world. Supplying aid is a moral responsibility that is to be admired, however, many of those nations that receive aid were badly exploited in the first place by American financial interests.
Take the good with the bad. Great countries come and go, and none are perfect.

Envy. Their own inability to act unconditionally... their own guilty conscience and ingratitude.
Also, helping in the wrong way can lead to ingratitude. The US reputation has been hurt by helping those who really need to pull themselves up instead... or helping in expectation of being seen helping.

Feelings of inadequacy. Instead of turning their anger inward, they turn it on us.

Why do liberals hate America?
Some things can't be explained because they are so irrational.
