I saw that too. I just had to laugh. I did feel sorry for the larger black lady I thought her first song was good her second not so good. I dont know why they asked her to sing a second song. I mean those two best friends who obviously randy and simon found attractive didnt have to sing a second song to see if they sucked. I kinda think alot has to do with the girls weight, big girls can often sing very well {stereotypical i know} but just like with Mandisa they tried to get rid of her at the start due to just her weight. But when that white girl started to beg I just had to laugh.
Btw ty for not being rude in response to the question I posted.

Well it is fairly sad. I missed it last night due to a prior commitment, but I must say some people have unrealistic dreams. Their families have nurtured personalities that cannot accept they may not be talented or gifted in some area. Everyone tells you "You can do ANYTHING if you try hard enough"...or "You can BE anything you want to be." However, that is not totally true. Not everyone can sing obviously. Some of them have no sense of music, chords, and are completely tone deaf. They may never have been taped and forced to listen to themselves. Some of these people may as well be deaf. But you must admit at LEAST they are out there TRYING. They have a dream and won't let it die, so that's something!

A question I would have liked for the judges to ask the contestant was what the heck is going through the contestant's mind?
Walk us through your thought process in coming and competing in a singing contest if you can't sing? WTF?!
And then you have the audacity to ask to be trained to sing? What about all the people on that show who DO have talent, and DO have a shot of actually making it to the final rounds? They came prepared to kick azz and take names. Why can't you (the contestant) do the same?
I'd tell the contestant get the heck out of here and NEVER show your face again.

Yes, some of them are pathetic, but note:pathetic stories and much flesh showing gets u to Hollywood. I agree, the black woman's first song was pretty good, why she had to sing second one was beyond me.

I think she must have smoked a really good fat joint to come up with the idea of the American Idol not being a singer but someone who they train to sing.

Yes. Those people don't get that its not a niceness or kissing-up competiton, but a singing competition.
