I would use wired router (all routers have wired ports usually, including wireless models). The win95 computer does need a network card. Trying to run win95 wireless may not be possible (may not have drivers for that version for a wireless device). Being wired does seems to be a faster (more reliable) connection.

Dear Bianca, if I am correct,
It would be very difficult to connect a Windows 95 and a Windows XP computer for Internet Services. If you wanted to try, you would defintely have to use a wired router for how old that Windows 95 computer is and yes all you would have to do is use the utilities that come with the router to set the sharing for the internet connection.

to me it would depend where ur going to put the other comp. havin a wire going all the way across ur walls don't look that great. i'd say get a wireless router so u can connect 1 comp. to it with a wire and the other one can be where ever u want it. i don't think they have wireless settings for the older computer though so wired is best. although in order to have a wireless connection to the other computer, u would need to buy a wireless-g or b pci adapter and open the computer up to plug it in. it's a lot more complicated but if u don't want to open up ur computer i suggest u get a wired router or get an expert to do it

Neither is better or worse than the other. They just have different strengths and weakness's.

However, its kind of a moot point anyway. %90 of the Wireless routers on the market also have physical ports to plug in wired computers.

use the wire option of a any brand router, your problem is going to be, to find an ISA network card(if it is a desktop), the kind that you install in your computer, for a wired network.

there are no wireless adapters that are supported by win95, the minimum you have to have is win98se, not even the first edition, and I don't think win95 supports USB, that is why it's have to be wired.

A wireless one; it has all that a wired one offers and it supercedes wire-only router, a wireless one can disable its own wireless and functions identically to a wire-only router.

The only consideration you should have in this is budget, can you afford the extra money that a wireless router has in its price tag?

yes you can.get a router with multiple ethernet ports.hook up the 2 computers to the router using ethernet cable.i would prefer ethernet cable connection because it is more secured than wireless connection.
